Judy Catambay received her BFA in 1989 at San Jose State University, where she studied painting under Randy Sadler and Rupert Garcia. She also studied painting at the School of Art at Sheffield Polytechnic in England. She taught art classes for several years in the Bay Area at the Sunnyvale Creative Art Center and at the Community School of Music and Arts in Mountain View. She integrated art workshops and classes with various special needs groups, including community mental health agencies, low-income families, and children. She has shown her work in various galleries and establishments in the Bay Area since 1989. She currently is active in promoting art projects in Davis elementary schools.
